This relic 30th Regiment, Cambridgeshire, button is a 25mm open backed variety, probably a mess waiter’s of the mid 19th century. The reverse has an aperture for a small photograph and has had a pin brooch fastening converting it into a sweetheart brooch. A touching memorial of a lady’s hero of long ago. feb19/4
