ROMANIA. A box for a Romanian medal, 125 x 57 mm, with the cypher of King Carol I in gilt on the red box. Probably for a loswer class of the Order of the Crown of Romania. The space for the medal is around 40mm in diameter and the inside of the lid has the maker’s name of Jopseph Ressch & Fils, Bucarest. King Carol I [1839-1914] ruled from 1881 and had served in the Prussian army. jun6/1
