60th Foot The KIng’s Royal Rifle Corps, officer’s 26mm
POA
A very good example of the button worn by the 60th King’s Royal Rifles between 1855 and 1881. This officer’s button of blackened silver plate has the design of the title 60th RIFLES around a bugle in the centre of a Maltese cross, all beneath a Victorian crown. The backmark is JENNENS & Co. LONDON . There is another pattern of the 60th and we are not sure precisely when this probably scarcer pattern was used. may18/1 SOLD 24th May 2023
