69th South Lincolnshire Regiment. officer’s coatee 20mm

£50.00

An excellent example of the officer’s coatee button of the 69th South Lincolnshire Regiment, which became the 2nd Bn of the Welsh Regiment after 1881. This rather domed button would have been the largest size worn on the coatee before the change to tunics around the time of the Crimean War. It has the backmark CHARLES JENNENS . LONDON. The shank is somewhat bent but quite sound.  mar27/7
