81st Foot (Loyal Lincoln Volunteers) a good example of the 25mm officer’s gilt button of the pattern worn between 1855 and 1881, when it became the 2nd Bn. The Loyal Regiment, The backmark is JENNENS & Co. LONDON . The button carries two of the regiment’s early battlehonours from the Peninsula War against Napoleon’s troops. jan31/2 SOLD 7th March 2023
