A Cameron Highlander and another photographed in Cape Town circa 1902

Two soldiers, possibly father and son, photographed on a cabinet card by M J Scallan, Mansion Studio, Adderley St, Cape Town probably at the end of the South African War. The kilted soldier is a Cameron Highlander  and wears medal ribbons which are probably for the Egypt campaign. The other wears a slouch hat of suggesting he is possibly a volunteer of the Imperial Yeomanry and the cut of the jacket is Scottish. There are some contact marks but only visible at certain angles. nov16/1    SOLD 16th November 2022
