An original pair of mounted royal medals, 1930s

Royal medals. A mounted pair of original silver miniature medals, being the 1935 Silver Jubilee Medal of King George V and Queen Mary and the 1937 Coronation Medal of King George VI and Queen Elizabethm, A contemporary mounting with original ribbons. An interesting pair of medals of the last two crowned King Emperors and Queen Empresses of India and two of the very few medals with conjoined busts, a tradition following the coronation medals of 1902 & 1911. This pair have rather long ribbons and are shown in one image alongside a pair of WWII medals with the more usual length for the period. A pair of medals like this suggest a civil award.  aug14/2
