This intriguing survival from a toy cupboard was seemingly produced around the end of the 1st World War. The various scenes are interspersed with a Victoria Cross, DSO, MC, and a British War Medal. The scenes show a cavalry charge, a galloping RHA team and a drummer boy, It measures 8 ins in diameter and 5¼ in depth. It is formed of strong pictorial cardboard and the drum surfaces are tin. An evocative relic of childhood a hundred years ago. aug22/1
