Peace Celebration May 29th 1856. May England & France for Ever be United. C. B. Burton. Litho. Leeds Road, Bradford. An attractive fully coloured pressed card, 7¼ x 6 ins, displaying the arms of Great Britain and the French 2nd Empire within banners showing the battles of ALMA, INKERMAN, BALACLAVA, CHERNAYA, SEBASTOPOL against the flags of the victorious allies. It also records War Declared Marh, 27th 1854 Peace Signed Marh 30th 1856.  An interesting ephemeral survival of the Eastern campaign.    aug22/1
