CURZON. Presentation of a gold casket by the City of London, 1904

A souvenir of the presentation of a large 18 carat gold casket with enamelled panels to His Excellency The Right Honourable Lord Curzon of Kedleston, P.C., G.M.S.I., G.M.I.E. on 20th June 1904. The four page inner content is in the original decorative printed card cover measuring 12½ x 10 ins and embossed in gilt with the arms of the City of London. The edges of the card are a little chipped and the original cord or ribbon tie is lacking. A scarce memento commemorating Curson’s services as Viceroy of India. apr8/3 SOLD 17th February 2023
