The large size 23mm button retains almost all gilt with just a litle rubbing to the highest points of the design. It is of the finest officer’s quality and bears the British backmark of FIRMIN & SONS, 153 STRAND, LONDON. We are not sure of the precise uniform on which this button might have been used although the roped edge of the design is usually associated with naval uniforms. mar1/4
