Dorsetshire Regiment. A sergeant of the 2nd Battalion wearing battle dress and the Broderick cap
£20.00
A good carte de visite by W. G. Wise, Bulford Camp showing a half length portrait of a sergeant of the 2nd Dorsetshire Regiment. The Broderick cap seems to have been rather short lived and had disappeared before the outbreak of WW1. This very well toned image probably dates from the Edwardian period. The dark blue cap is based on naval designs and was not used by all regiments. The medal ribbons are for the 1895 India General Service medal and the second one is possibly for theTibet 1904 campaign. apr9/2
