The 2 merely means that it was paired with another volume containing the Annuual Register &c which tends to make a combined volume unwieldly. Fully indexed lists of all serving and retired officers in the three Presidency armies, together with lists of civil servants, Indian Navy officers (down to Midshipmen), government officals, etc. The armorials included in this volume make it especially useful. There are no previous ownership markings and the contents are very clean. may30/3
