A very well annotated little book, 8 x 6½ ins, of photographs put together by L. Cpl. S Sadler of the East Surrey Regt. The simple exercise book has some 35 pages with small photographs to both sides and follows the East Surreys’ tracks round northern India and parts of present day Pakistan: the Indus. Murree Hills, Gharial, Hassan Abdul, Chaklala, Abbottabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Srinagar, Agra, Dagshai. Sanara, Simla Hills, Peshawar, Kuldana, Sutley Bridge Punjab, Kasur, Wanna N.W.F.. Almost all the photos are amateur snapshots taken by Sadler and some of his pals. Several individuals are are named, such as: Joe Sweeting [a few of whose amusing drawings are included], Captain Reynolds, Major Paton D.S.O., M.C., R.S.M. Gingle, R.S.M.
