Gilgit Mule Battery, circa 1900

An interesting photograph of small panoramic shape, 8 x 3¼ ins, mounted on old album card and titled in the negative 3142 GILGIT MULE BATTERY – LIMBERING UPThe very strictly posed image shows the team of five artillerymen with only one of them and the mule facing the camera.
