H M S St Vincent. A good carte de visite photograph of the ship, Circa 1870
Four ships bore this name and this is certainly the 120 gun First Rate Ship of the Line which was launched in 1815 and used as a training ship from 1862. The ship is identified on the reverse in a contemporary hand and is on a photographer’s card of G West & Son, Eagle House, 97 High Street, Gosport. apr9/1
