HART DAVIS, Richard. The bookplate, which measures 80 x 115mm, has several quarterings beneath a crest of seated hart wth the motto Dum Spiro Speo beneath. A Richard Hart Davis [1766 – 1842 ] of Gloucestereshire was an MP in the early 1800s. A manuscript monogram W P H C with the date 1820 is written on the bookplate in a contemporary hand. eb10/3
