Household Cavalry officer’s sword of the 1874 pattern

£575.00

1st Life Guards. An officer’s 1874 pattern sword of the pattern worn by the 1st Life Guards. The sword, in fairly sleepy condition, has a 32½ ins blade and retains the original service dress leather scabbard. The maker’s marks on the blade are indistinct through old polishing and one decorative brass studd from the basket hilt is missing. The blade has the royal arms beneath a Victorian crown.    jul5/2
