JAIPUR.  The large 8½  x 6½ greetings card is embossed in gold with the arms of the Maharaja and has a multi coloured ribbon bow. The inncr card pages show a view of the Palace facing the printed greeting from the Maharaja of Jaipur. It retains the original envelope with the arms to the flap and addressed to Sub. Major W. J.  Wells, Jaipur. Wells, a former British Guards NCO, played a major part in the initial organisation and training of the Man Singh Guards and was later commissioned into the British Indian Army during WW2. .     may21/1
