Coloured frontispiece of the author in his travelling costume, folding map of route, coloured plate of ruined arch on the site of Ctesiphon, other small illustrations in text, vii, 338pp, 2p publisher’s ads; Vol. II. coloured frontispiece of a Lesguy Tartar, 1 other coloured plate of a native of Dursund, a few small illustrations in text, v, 349pp, 12pp publisher’s catalogue. re-cased in contemporary cloth with red labels gilt, one plate rather foxed [all coloured plates are illustrated here], all illustrations as called for, the map neatly folded, generally clean, personal presentation inscription dated 1832 to ffep of each volume. The author travelled from Bombay with group including Mr. Ker  Baillie Hamilton, Mr. Lamb, Captain Hart, and Futteh Ali Khan of the Persian royal family.
