4 folding coloured maps, 14 plates of illustrations and a few small illustrations in text, vi.565pp. Late 20th century re-bound in black quarter leather gilt with marbled boards, paper rather browned, small hole in first page of preface, a few isolated worm holes in maps and largest with an old taped repair to the reverse. A decent working copy that looks good on the shelf. The work deals with railways, harbours, irrigation, electric telegraph, etc.    jan7/3
