Lt. Col. Peter Lumsden – favourable pension grants, 1866

A manuscript copy of letters between the Secretary of State for India and the Quarter Master General regarding favourable grants of pension, on both sides of a blue folio sheet of paper with a forwarding memo Forwarded for information and guidance signed John S. Paton, Quarter Master General and dated Simla 2nd October 1866. Sunned along top inch an a little chipped to one margin.  mar4/2  SOLD 18th March 2023

Provenance: From a large archive of material kept by General Sir Peter Lumsden, G.C.B., C.S.I. and passed down through descendants of his brother, General Sir Harry Lumsden. Sir Peter & Lady Lumsden had no children.
