An attractive 4½ x3½ ins [11.3 x 8.7 gm] wmbossed on card with the badge of Queen Victoria’s Corps of Guides, the two folded inner pages held in place by a red and white ribbon. The first page has a printed seasonal greeting with To General Sir Frederick Campbell added above in ink and and from The Guides below. The centre pages have a photographic print of THE GUIDES BURI PESHAWAR with text on the facing page Lumsden’s Jeadquarters whilst Commanding the Guides and Chief Civil Officer of the District. The Corps was encamped in the vicinity 1850-51. Nov14/1 SOLD 16th November 2024
