Henry St. George Tucker [1771 – 1851] travelled out to India as a midshipman but became a writer, captain of Volunteer cavalry, Military Secretary to Lord Wellesley, on 1790, Accountant General 1805, Chief Secretary to the Govt 1814. He left India in 1815 and became a Director of the H,E,I,C, and was sometime Chairman.
