Folding genealogical tree of ruling family, 2 folding coloured maps of the state, North & South (1 inch to 6 miles), page of heraldic details embossed at top with the arms of the ruler in red, vii, [i bibliography].201pp, iii  (glossary), xii(index). Original green cloth gilt, very sound with a little edge wear, internally a very good tight copy, the folding plates have some minor edge damage and one map has asmall hole at a fold intersection, presentation inscription signed by Luard on front free endpaper (to his public school – Marlborough – with their label to front pastedown). This was one of the volumes in the impressive Central India State Gazetteer Series. feb16/1
