A steroscopic photographic card from the 1905-06 Royal Tour of India by T.R.H. the Prince and Princess of Wales [later King Emperor George V & Queen Mary]. The card is by H HA NDS & SONS and this image, taken at Karachi, is titled 183 The Farewell. The last “sna[-shot” of the Royal Pair. The Prince Princess look rowards the dockside as they prepare to sail for England after a tour which was a huge success and left the Prince determined to return to India, a wish that came true at the great Coronation Delhi Durbar in 1911. dec10/6
