Arthur Henry Cole Dane, Surgeon Lieutenant Colonel in charge of medical matters at the Bhopal Agency in Central India, 1880s. A very good cabinet card by P. Vuccino & Co. Medow Street, Fort, Bombay showing the surgeon general bust length in civilian dress. Two of the medals shown on the back of the card are dated 1879 & 1883. The card is identified on the verso in a contemporary hand in pencil Arthur Dane.   Hart’s AnSt at the engagements at Giriahk, in the defence of Candaharincluding the sortie Deh Khojah, and at the battle of Candahar (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp).  jul18/1  SOLD 18th March 2023
