Bates and Hindmarch deals primarily in books, photographs, documents and memorabilia of India and the East India Company, with emphasis on Viceroys, Princes of India, Royal & Viceregal Visits, Durbars, and military history up to Independence.We also stock some general militaria with a special interest in buttons and uniform. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. On 26th August Royal Mail has suspended sending all parcels to the U.S.A. because of changes to import duties. The service has been restored but I found the changes regarding import duties to the USA from UK now have to be paid here and the system is so complicated I feel that I cannot, at the moment, send packets and parcels to the USA. If and when this is resolved I will resume sending things to my valued American clients. In the meantime I can post purchases to any UK address with much lower charges and no duties or to any of the forwarding companies which some overseas clients use.
