100th (Prince of Wales’s Royal Canadians) Regiment of Foot, officer’s gilt 25mm

An excellent example of the 100th Foot, Prince of Wales’s Royal Canadians 25mm officer’s gilt button with the backmark J. W. REYNOLDS & Co. 50 ST. MARTINS LANE LONDON.The button retains virtually the full original gilt finish, This is the pattern worn from 1855 to 1881 when the regiment became the 1st Bn. The Prince of Wales’s Leinster Regt. (Royal Canadians). It was disbanded along with other Irish regiments in 1922. may22/1  SOLD 5th June 2025
