124th Baluchistan Infantry, officer’s 19mm

The 19mm king’s crown officer’s button was in use from 1903 to 1922 and the full title was 124th Duchess of Connaught’s Own Baluchistan Infantry. It was raised in the north western area of India bordering Afghanistan, now a part of Pakistan, where the regiment’s descendant is part of that country’s army as 6th Bn Beloch Regiment. The backmark is HOBSON & SON LEXINGTON ST. LONDON.  There is some rubbing on the high points of the crown.     jun8/5
