An 18mm officer’s gilt button of the 19th Foot, 1st Yorkshire North Riding (Princess of Wales’s Own) as worn on the tunic. The button, which has the backmark J. W. REYNOLDS & Co. LONDON is the pattern worn from 1855 to 1881 when its title became 1st & 2nd Bns. The Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales’s Own Yorkshire Regiment). This is very good example retaining virtually the full original gilt finish. 12/7 SOLD 16th July 2026
