The officer’s 25mm silver plated button has the title 1ST. AD. BATTN. WEST YORK on a circlet around a rose with a Victorian crown above and an outer wreath of laurel. It has the backmark FIRMIN & SONS LONDON .The button is very toned and age blackened with a few signs of the underlying copper bleeding through on high points. Another uncleaned button from my own collection put together mainly in the late sixties and ealry seventies. feb24/4
