1st Hyderabad Infantry, pagri badge in brass and white metal.

£90.00

1st Hyderabad Infantry was part of the Indian State Forces and it was originally raised in 1859 but this pagri badge probably dates from the 1930s when the battalion adopted that title. The large stamped brass badge, probably of British manufacture, measures approximately 2 x 1¾ ins and has the numeral in white metal mounted in the central ball on the shield which has the motto SEMPER PARATUS [always ready] above a scroll with the title HYDERABAD REGIMENT.     aug14/3
