The 18mm gilt button, with backmark J R GAUNT & SONS LD. LATE JENNENS, shows crossed lances with XX between them, LANCERS on a scroll beneath and a Tudor crown above. The short lived 20th Lancers, was formed in 1921 from two distinguished former Bengal Lancer Regiments, the 14th Murray’s Jat Lancers and the 15th Lancers (Cureton’s Multanis) . It ceased to be active in 1937 when it became a training regiment. oct22/2
