A good 10½ 7 ins. sepia toned photograph of the 21st Hussars in India wearing service dress and about to mount. This photograph. removed from am old album page and now tipped to modern paper, dates from 1894. Three years later, when in Cairo, the regiment was informed that it was to be re-designated as lancers, becoming the 21st (Empress of India’s Own) Lancers. aug6/5 RESERVED 10th January 2024
