An ORs button of the 2nd Queen’s Royal Regt. of Foot 18mm with the very polished backmark of PITT & Co. LONDON. This is the variant pattern of this button with a naval crown, associated with the Cinque Ports.The button has been quite polished in its working life, mainly affesting the high points of the crown, This pattern was worn from 1855 until 1881 when the regiment became the 1st & 2nd Bns.
