A good brass 25mm other ranks button of the 50th (The Queen’s Own) Regimrnt of Foot of the pattern worn from 1855 to 1881 [although most other ranks began to wear a general service button from 1871]. After 1881 it became the 1st Bn. The Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment. The Irish made button has the backmark P. TAIT, LIMERICK and is not badly rubbed. jun18/3
