Numerous illustrations, 392pp. Original blue cloth gilt, all edges gilt, printed throughout on glazed art paper, binding sound, boards bright, spine faded, minor wear at extremities and a small stain to front board, contents very clean throughout with no previous ownership marks.. Approximately the first 150pp are devoted to India and the forthcoming Durbar, the remaining text and illustrations are really an advertisement for the medical research company. The company presented copies of this book to Indian Princes and other important guests at the event. It no longer often appears except in facsimile and modern editions. mar7/1
