57th [West Middlesex] Regiment of Foot. An exccllent example of the officer’s gilt 25mm button with the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. This is the pattern worn from 1855 to 1881 when the regiment became known as the 1st Bn. The Middlesex Regiment (The Duke of Cambridge’s Own).
