93rd Foot, Sutherland Highlanders. A 25mm example of an officer’s gilt button with the backmark FIRMIN & SONS LONDON. This pattern was worn from 1855 to 1881 when the regiment became The 2nd Battalion The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders .The button has been polished at some time and lost the original gilt finish although it is not much worn. Like several of the Scottish Buttons it is not easy to find. may28/4 SOLD 2nd June 2025
