69th South Lincolnshire Regiment. officer’s 23mm.
£40.00
This pristine example of the 23mm officer’s button of the 69th South Lincolnshire Regiment differs from the standard examples in being noticeably smaller by 2mm nad is presumed to be the type worn very briefly on the first pattern tunic of 1855-56 which was double breasted. The regiment became the 2nd Bn of the Welsh Regiment after 1881. It has the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. The button retains the full original gilt finish. feb2/3
