A rather large, 12 x 9¾ ins., bust length portrait of a sergeant of the Royal West Regiment wearing service dress with cap. This is the type of portrait that was sometimes txaken before a soldier went off to war in 1914. Certainly the absence of medal ribbons indicates a pre WW1 image. The corners of the large print have been turnedbut the sergeant is not damaged.
