A white metal 19mm button of the short lived Afridi Battalion in good condition but with no backmark other than a decorative pattern In our Indian Uniform section we currently have a field cap with the same badge of a crown but with the title 1st Afridi Battalion. The unit was raised in 1942 from fighters who had previously often faced the Indian Army on the North West Frontier. It was disbanded in 1946 but reformed as the Khyber Rifles with a similar badge involving the castle. feb19/3
