An Aide de Camp of Royal Engineers in dress uniform, circa 1900
The three quarter length portrait, 6 x 4 ins, is on a photographer’s card of Window & Grove, 63 Baker Street, London and measures 10 x 8 ins. The card is somewhat grubby. The major is an ADC on head quarters, general, or personal staff as he wears the aiguillette over the left shoulder.
