A cabinet card by W. Emmett, 5 Corporation St. Stalybridge [on the Cheshire, Lancashire border] showing three quarter length image of a seated young soldier with his helmet on a table beside him. His uniform, collar badges, and the plate on his his home pattern helmet show that he is a member of 4th Volunteer Bn. The Cheshire Regiment, formerly the 22nd Foot. There is a small tear without loss to the bottom edge and a little damage top right.    aug29/2
