A gilt 25mm version of the button worn by Army Physical Training Corps Staff. This example, without backmark has the royal cypher GvR beneath the crossed swords and crown with the motto MENS SANA IN COPORE SANO on a garter. Although the standard APTC button with just crossed swords beneath a crown is common, this version is quite seldom encountered. Although of other ranks construction the button has a gilt finish. nov16/1
