The five pointed 48mm bronze star named in English Bahawalpur 1914-19 aroun a Persian inscription ans the reverses has Persian writing beneath a crescent and star. It is suspended from a bar incorporating a crescent and star and has a green and black striped ribbon. The suspension differs from the example shown in Tony McClenaghan: Indian Princely Medals, p 31. jun29/1

Exchanged several years ago with friend and collector, the late Captain Walter Clode, formerly 10th Royal Hussars.
