BHOPAL. Lord Curzon returning the salute of the Victoria Lancers, 1899

BHOPAL. Two photographs by Raja Deen Dayal on two sides of an old album leaf. The card is brittle and damaged but the two 11¼ x 8 ins photographs are in fine condition. There are remnants of the original letterpress titles on the card beneath the images. These images date from December 1899 when the Viceroy Lord Curzon of Kedleston was visiting Bhopal on his first Autumn Tour in office. The two pictures are cvery similar and one shows the Viceroy returning the salute of the Bhopal Victoria Lancers. Many photograph experts are able to split these leaves and re-mount them but we sell as found.   may26/1
