Brass door knocker with a vdrsion of the Royal Arms, dated 1953

The sturdy brass door knocker has a slightly modified version of the Royal Arms [probably to avoid copywrite problems] and judging from the ER 1953 above the crown this was probably made as a coronation souvenir. The arms measure 58 x 68mm and it is hinged to a plate stamped, very honestly, on the back MADE IN ENGLAND. An amusing present for a Royalty collector perhaps. mar13/1
