An interesting cabinet card, unfortunately with strange curved white mark across the figure, which seems to be in the negative. We offer this image because it is unusual to find a cabinet card showing a soldier in his full overseas lit. The portrait is by Watson & Senior, 8 Church St. Inverness and most probably shows the soldier kitted out for service in the South African war. aug27/4
